The story behind the scenes
The reference: The cruise ship's owning company invited me to capture images as it made its grand return to Piraeus after undergoing extensive renovations, set to become the port's first stop once again.
After obtaining the necessary permits from the Piraeus Port Authority and the Civil Aviation Service, we proceeded to document the ship's arrival through photographs and videos. The ship received a warm welcome as it entered the harbor, with waves crashing around it in a display of maritime greeting.
Local residents dressed in traditional attire sang traditional songs and waved white scarves to celebrate its return. To conclude the festivities, the company organized a spectacular fireworks display the night before the ship's departure.
